Scopus alerting system updating on October 2nd

Today, on October 2nd, Scopus alerts are migrating to a new system. During this time the “edit” and “create” functions will be deactivated for less than 24 hours. You will still continue to receive alert emails, but will not be able to create new alerts or modify existing alerts for that window of time. A message box will appear on the alerts page to notify users of the brief downtime.

What does this mean for alert recipients after the migration?

Scopus experiencing issues with help section pages

Scopus is currently experiencing issues loading help files and the "contact us" form. The help section pages may take more than one minute to display, sometimes leading to timeouts. Our technical teams are aware of this and are actively working to fix it. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Incident with Scopus alerts system resolved: Delayed alerts will be delivered in the coming days

Because of an earlier incident that Scopus experienced with its alerts system, some users may notice delays in receiving their scheduled Scopus alerts. The issue has been fixed and alerts will be gradually delivered throughout the coming days.

Scopus experiencing issues with Alerts

Scopus has been experiencing issues with its Alerts system since December 28, 2015. This means that no Alerts have been sent since the 28th. The root cause of the issue has been identified and the Alerts are currently being re-processed. We expect all systems to be working properly within the next 24 hours. We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused and we will update this post (and social media) when the issues are resolved.

Upgrades to Scopus: Routine Maintenance on October 26

On October 26, Scopus will undergo routine database maintenance. During this time, we do not expect there to be any downtime for users and Scopus will function as it normally does. For stability reasons we will not load any new content in the week of October 18-25. This also means that the Alerts will be put on hold; users will not miss any alerts, they will just be sent later than usual. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
