Scheduled maintenance for Scopus on Sunday, May 22

On Sunday, May 22, 2016, Scopus will experience a brief service outage due to scheduled maintenance.The service disruption is expected to be short and will occur between the hours of 7:00 a.m. EDT (11:00 a.m. GMT) and 11:00 a.m EDT (3:00 p.m. GMT).

Scopus experiencing issues with Alerts

Scopus has been experiencing issues with its Alerts system since December 28, 2015. This means that no Alerts have been sent since the 28th. The root cause of the issue has been identified and the Alerts are currently being re-processed. We expect all systems to be working properly within the next 24 hours. We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused and we will update this post (and social media) when the issues are resolved.

Due to scheduled maintenance Scopus, ScienceDirect, Engineering Village and Mendeley will experience a brief service outage on Sunday December 20 between 12:00 a.m. EST( 5:00 a.m. GMT) and 12:00 p.m. EST(5:00 p.m. GMT).
This brief outage is not expected to last more than 10 minutes.

Scheduled maintenance for Scopus and other Elsevier platforms on Saturday, August 1.

On Saturday, August 1, Scopus and other Elsevier platforms such as ScienceDirect, Engineering Village, Mendeley and SciVal will be unavailable due to a scheduled maintenance for approximately 4.5 hours starting at 06:00 PM EDT. Users will see a downtime message during this time period.

We recommend using the World Clock Time Zone Converter or a similar application to convert the announced planned outage time to your local time. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.

Scopus is experiencing an issue

Scopus downtime scheduled for November 2

On Saturday, November 2, Scopus will be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance. This downtime is scheduled to last for approximately 30 minutes, from 2:45 - 3:15 AM (EDT). Unfortunately, due to the nature of the maintenance work, users will be unable to reach the "downtime pages" that would normally be made available for planned outage periods. Instead, users will see an error message ("page not found") while attempting to reach Scopus.com during this timeframe.

Updates to Scopus iPhone/iPad apps

It’s been awhile since the last update for our Scopus Alerts iPhone/iPad app. The new updated Scopus Alerts apps are now available with the following major changes:

  • Solved citations retrieval issue on iOS6
  • Improved graphics (retina display)
  • Fixes for new iOS versions

Upgrades to Scopus: Routine Maintenance on October 26

On October 26, Scopus will undergo routine database maintenance. During this time, we do not expect there to be any downtime for users and Scopus will function as it normally does. For stability reasons we will not load any new content in the week of October 18-25. This also means that the Alerts will be put on hold; users will not miss any alerts, they will just be sent later than usual. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
