We are pleased to announce that the ShanghaiRanking Consultancy (SRC) is using Scopus data and metrics from SciVal analytics for its Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2016. The recently released ranking ranks global universities in 7 engineering subjects, including Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Energy Science & Engineering, Environmental Science & Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

Takeaways from the Times Higher Education MENA Universities Summit

Over the last year the MENA (Middle East and Northern Africa) region has seen very exciting developments in terms of research growth. This was further established at the inaugural Times Higher Education MENA Universities Summit that was recently held in Doha, Qatar. UK REF 2014 results released (and they use Scopus data!)

Yesterday marks a key milestone in the United Kingdom's REF 2014 journey. Following initial consultations in 2007 through to the deadline for submissions in November 2013, 155 higher education institutions across the UK have dedicated a huge amount of time and resource to this process.
