Scopus Roadmap: What's New in 2022?

We are continuously adding content!

There are currently 87+ million records in Scopus from 27.1K serials, 140K conferences and 261K books. Scopus is updated daily with approximately 11,000 new articles per day indexed.

In 2021 we added 4,042,234 items (+4.74%).

This included:

  • 1198 journals (+4.8%)
  • 18K stand-alone book titles (+7%)
  • 170K book items (+8%)
  • 576K conference papers (+5%)

What can I expect after submitting a Scopus Missing Content or Data Correction request?

When an author, or their proxy submits a correction request to the Scopus Content Service Desk, it can feel a little like a black box.  We’ve clarified the process and timelines around the three biggest types of correction requests:

  • missing documents
  • inaccurate author profile details
  • missing content within documents.

When a request is submitted, it is sent to the appropriate Elsevier expert for review.

CiteScore 2021 value are now live!

CiteScore 2021 values are now available in Scopus!

CiteScore helps researchers to determine which serial title to read, where to publish their research, and to showcase their research outputs.

See CiteScore 2021 values here.

There are over 15,000 titles which have a CiteScore 2021 but no Impact Factor.

Author full name now available in select Scopus screen views

A new Scopus feature provides improved clarity on which author(s) contributed to research content. Author full names, now included on select Scopus screen views, will allow articles to be attributed more specifically by providing complete names.

Check the “Accepted Titles” list! Get early insights into new Scopus content

Our independent Scopus Content Selection & Advisory Board approves new titles on an ongoing basis.  We take this rolling approach to journal selection so that the content collection in Scopus is continuously being expanded to respond to researcher needs.

However, to date, we haven’t publicized the newly accepted titles until they appear in the Scopus Source list.
